We created The Zipline Show in October 2010 with a simple mission: to keep ourselves busy.
Well, that was only part of it. Actually, what we really want to do is encourage students to do STEM degrees-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. If we can help our non-computer scientist listeners as they wend their way through our increasingly technological world, that would be a bonus.
Are we qualified to take on this task? We think so. We both have master’s degrees in computer science from North Dakota State University. Will brings an international flair as a displaced Minnesotan living in Austria with his super-smart Fulbright Scholar wife. Ben lives in the Baltimore/D.C. region, working for a company specializing in offensive network operations.
You can hear us talk about us by listening to our meta show. (Don’t worry, our sound quality has improved since the bad old days of our built-in computer microphones.)
And, if you think you can do better, why don’t you come on the show? We are always up for an interview, whether you’re a student, a cybersecurity expert, a programmer, a hacker, a web designer or an indie artist harnessing the internet to unleash your creativity upon the world. We’re also looking for students willing to post flyers on campus or manage our social network.
The Zipline show: we’re all about compressing ideas into packages of delicious wisdom. Give your ears a taste.
The Meta Show
We recorded a brief (12 minute) show on The Zipline Show. It’s all about how the show started, who we are, what we talk about, and how we want you, the listener, to be involved!
